Women's Mid-Life Health & Wellbeing
Supporting women through perimenopause, menopause and the profound transitions of mid-life

What is coaching — and why might I need it now?

If you’ve never experienced coaching before, it’s easy to assume it’s about fixing problems or pushing performance.

Coaching is neither

Coaching is your time

A confidential, supportive space where we slow things down, make sense of what is happening for you, and reconnect you with your inner strength, clarity and direction.

Even if you can’t yet imagine what “flourishing” looks like, together we will gently unravel what is getting in your way — and create a pathway forward that feels sustainable, compassionate and empowering.

At this stage of life, many women notice that self-doubt, negative self-talk and anxiety suddenly feel louder, even when they have always been driven, capable and confident.

This is not a personal failing.

It is a very real response to hormonal and life-stage change.

Menopause in the workplace — the reality

According to the UK Government’s 2024 progress report on menopause at work:

  • Nearly 4 million women aged 45–55 are currently employed in the UK

  • 84% of unsupported women report menopause symptoms have a mostly negative effect on their work

  • Between 1 in 10 and 4 in 10 women consider leaving the workforce due to symptoms

  • Only 28% report no impact on their working life

These statistics reflect real women — navigating complex bodies, careers, families and identities, often without adequate understanding or support.

Is this you?

  • Are you struggling with the impacts of perimenopause or menopause?

  • Does your mid-life journey feel more challenging than you ever imagined?

  • Do you feel like you’re standing at a crossroads, questioning what comes next?

  • Have you lost confidence, motivation or direction — and don’t quite know why?

Have you experienced…

  • Persistent tiredness or exhaustion

  • Weight gain or changes in your relationship with food

  • Mood swings or emotional overwhelm

  • Aching joints or physical discomfort

  • Hot flushes, night sweats or insomnia

  • Anxiety or loss of confidence — even if you’ve never experienced it before

These symptoms can feel frightening, confusing and isolating — especially when they appear “out of nowhere”.

Why is this happening?

Menopause itself is one day — the point at which you’ve gone 12 months without a period.

Everything before that is perimenopause — and it can last up to 10 years.

During this time, fluctuating hormones can profoundly affect:

  • Energy levels

  • Mood and emotional regulation

  • Sleep, weight and motivation

  • Confidence, identity and self-belief

Layered on top of this are common mid-life pressures:

  • Changing family dynamics or empty-nest transitions

  • Career plateaus, glass ceilings or imposter syndrome

  • Feeling derailed without understanding why

While some symptoms can be managed medically, not all women want — or are able — to take HRT.

This is where coaching plays a vital role.

How coaching can help

Coaching helps you make sense of the noise.

Together we create structure, clarity and agency — helping you understand what is happening in your body and mind, and what you can do to feel stronger, calmer and more in control again. Mid-life is not the beginning of decline. It is a powerful transition point — and your best years still lie ahead.

What will we do together?

I will support you to identify what is holding you back and help you make small, meaningful changes that shift the balance of power back to you.

Our work may include:

  • Reframing unhelpful narratives and self-beliefs

  • Building emotional regulation and resilience

  • Restoring energy through reflective practice, movement and connection with nature

  • Creating personalised strategies that honour both your body and your ambitions

I draw on coaching psychology, women’s health science and positive psychology to support you in addressing:

  • Disruptive eating, drinking or sleeping patterns

  • Weight, exercise confidence and body trust

  • Low energy, lethargy and motivation

  • Self-sabotage, low self-esteem and persistent self-doubt

What will success look like?

By the end of our time together, you will:

  • Have clarity, direction and a personal pathway forward

  • Feel more able to manage overwhelm, stress and emotional intensity

  • Understand your emotions — and use them as information, not obstacles

  • Replace limiting beliefs with empowering, self-affirming ones

  • Use practical, evidence-based tools to support long-term physical and mental wellbeing

Late-Life Diagnosed Neurodivergent Women

I am a neurodivergent-informed coach and a late-life diagnosed neurodivergent woman who went through the menopause in my early forties.

I know what it takes to function for decades in a world that was not designed with you in mind and then be totally derailed when your bodies hormones also start to conspire against you.

I bring openness, compassion and lived understanding to our work together — without judgement or assumptions.

If you are self-diagnosed, awaiting assessment, or newly diagnosed, we can explore how coaching can support you through mid-life with clarity and confidence.
